ENCO’s U9 soccer program is designed to focus on the development of individual skills with an emphasis placed on foot work and core soccer skills that players will use through out the rest of their years playing soccer.
The curriculum for our program was developed by Tim Hall our director of coaching. Tim is the former Director of Coaching for Stroudsburg United, is a former player at Bloomsburg University and was an All State player at Stroudsburg HS. He also holds the following certifications: NSCAA Premier License, Level II Goalkeeper Instructor, USSF Coaching Course Instructor, USSF National Youth License, US Region I Coach/Instructor, EPYSA ODP Staff. All head coaches within the Club must have a minimum USSF D license, or equivalent NSCAA diploma.
Our U9 teams participate in a small sided (5 v 5) league against other travel clubs who hold the same philosophy of playing small sided games. The philosophy of small sided play follows the guidelines of U.S. Youth Soccer, and is the format followed by the best clubs in the U.S. and abroad. Here is what U.S. Youth Soccer says about small sided play.
Our U9 teams play in both the fall and spring, with two practices per week and games on Saturday mornings. The current cost per season is $110 per player and this includes an ENCO shirt, shorts & socks for first time players. Tryouts are not held for the U9 program, instead interested players will participate in a practice session with a team where the coaches can evaluate the players ability and maturity level. It is very rare for a player to be turned away at this age.
We thank you for your interest in our program and we welcome you to come see all that our program has to offer. Any questions can be addressed to encounited@gmail.com
